Swivel Sweeper Battery Care
Swivel Sweeper claims to be the “best house domestic sweeper in the world.” It is lightweight, only weighs, that is why it is easy to move around. It is cordless and has an extended pole that is why it is very convenient especially to those who do not want or finds it hard to bend and strain when cleaning. With four brushes rotating at 360 degrees, the sweeper amazingly sweeps the tiniest hair, the littlest crumbs, the smallest dust in the hardest to clean places. It also does not contain a waste bag, only a dirt tray that is easy to detach and reattach. Indeed, it may be considered as the “best house domestic sweeper in the world.”
But how can such slight and slender equipment do such marvelous work? The answer is through a powerful motor. But how can a relatively small motor be that potent? It is because of the battery.
The Swivel Sweeper battery is a 7.2 volt rechargeable self-sufficient battery. It is Nickel-Metal Hydride and does not have what some people refer to as “memory,” so, the user can charge it anytime. But to maximize the power of the battery, and thus enjoy the benefits of the Swivel Sweeper, the user must take proper care of it just as much as s/he attends to the needs of the cleaning tool itself.
The newly purchased battery, which is already included in the sweeper set, must be charged for eight hours and only eight hours. Charging the battery for more or less than that would lead to poor performance of the battery and the very equipment. Though one may choose not to completely drain the battery, it is still advisable to consume the energy fully before charging it again. Subsequent length of charging will depend on how much of the charge is used but the battery must not be left plugged for 24 successive hours. Overcharging has always been the cause of short battery life and consequential battery failure not just of this cleaning tool but of other apparatuses and devices as well. When someone is not “swivel-sweeping,” it is also suggested that s/he keeps the battery out of the machine and stores it in a dry and safe place. This would make the battery more effective and enduring.
The battery can run the Swivel Sweeper for 45 minutes when appropriately charged and properly stored. One can reuse it for around two years. Keeping it dry and clean could even extend its use to three years. Availing of a battery replacement may be a good idea as well. One could maximize the cleaning power of the sweeper without burning out a battery. Keeping a fully-charged battery would equip a person for emergency cleaning purposes. S/he does not have to wait for the battery to recharge when 45 minutes is not enough for the mess.
Maintenance is always the key to long-lasting equipment. The battery can’t run the Swivel Sweeper if it is not accurately prepared to do so.
